Simple and Great Toddler Lunch Ideas

Sometimes parents give in to their child’s demands for junk food just to make them eat something, but it is important for the children to start eating nutritious food from an early age so as to grow strong and healthy. So, rather than serving junk food, you can make your fussy child wait for lunch eagerly with the following fun and great toddler lunch ideas.

Egg Muffin with Hidden Veggies

These Egg muffins with hidden veggies are a very simple way to sneak some extra nutrients into your kids meal without hearing any complains.  They are a wonderful pick to sneak some extra veggies into your picky eaters diet and they are just so so so simple to make!

Ingredients:
– 7-8 large eggs
– 1 big kale leave
– 1/2 red bell pepper
– ½ cup of green peas
– 1 cup of shredded cheese of any kind
– 1/2 cup of milk

You can basically add any vegetable you have in the fridge and bake it the same way

White Fishcakes

White fishcakes super delicious and suitable for babies as well as adults. It’s an ideal for finger food for when your little one starts to self-feed.

Ingredients:
– 500 gr of white fish (good quality) frozen is fine.
– 1-2 handful of parsley
– 2 eggs
– 1 dl of milk
– 3 tbsp flour
– Some oil.
– (Salt 12m+)
– Seasoning

Chicken Meat Burgers

It’s loaded with vegetables and flavor without salt. It’s wonderful as finger food as it has a soft but still firm texture, just cut the meatball into finger bites and they’re ready to be served.

Ingredients:
– 400 gr organic ground chicken meat
– 1 tbsp chia seeds can be omitted.
– 1 kale leaf
– 1/2 red bell pepper
– 1 cup of broccoli
– 1 egg can be omitted though
– 1/2 an onion
– 2 tbsp of fat.

Other toddler lunch ideas are:

Fruit Yogurt Dip – A lot of kids like to dip their lunch and you can encourage them into eating crackers, vegetables, and fruits by providing them with a fresh yogurt dip, which is a lot healthier than ketchups or other sauces. Start with simple yogurt with only a spoon or so of jam in it. Encourage your child to dip his strips of fruits into the yogurt dip before putting them in his mouth.  Allow the child to dip even raw vegetables in the yogurt dip if he wants to.

Eggy Bread – Children are often fussy when it comes to eating eggs. Eggy breads can ensure that your child gets the vital nutrients easily.  Crack a couple of eggs and dip each side of a few bread slices into it. Add some butter in the frying pan and fry the slices till they turn golden.
